Chroma's Retaining Pond

Chroma Technology is conveniently located 2 minutes from the highway, tucked in a wooded area along the banks of the Connecticut River in Vermont. That's how it is here, and why we love our state.

In addition to the pair of bald eagles that nest nearby, we share our surroundings with woodpeckers, turtles, frogs, fox, and wild turkeys. There is a retaining pond behind Chroma's manufacturing facility that holds the water runoff that comes from the building’s roof, driveway, and parking lot. The rocks, plants and sand in the pond naturally purify the water before the water flows into the Connecticut river. Over the years, the pond has developed into a lovely sustainable ecosystem where fish, frogs, turtles, birds, bats and cattails are all happily at home.
