Laser Diode Illuminators

A Spectrum of Choices:

89 North's Laser Diode Illuminators (LDIs) offer a breadth of multiline, solid-state laser light engines that facilitate research in the world's most advanced biosciences labs.  Our LDIs power up to 1000mW of output per laser line via a multimode fiber -- all at the price of a low-power LED light engine. With feedback-controlled output stability and up to a 100:1 linear dynamic range, the LDI is the ideal light source for quantitative imaging, ratiometric imaging, and more repeatable optogenetics experiments. Plus, there is no need for user alignment, and the units are easy to use and maintain.
