Careers at Chroma
Work for Chroma
At Chroma Technology Corp. and 89 North, we are devoted to providing our employees with a position and work environment where they can flourish, as well as offering exceptional benefits.
Long before it was popular, Chroma's founders were committed to the concept of paying each other, and everyone working with them, a living wage. Over 25 years ago the initial pay range was established with the idea that every employee should, if they desired to, be able to afford to buy a house. This philosophy means that a large percentage of Chroma’s hourly workforce is compensated at a high rate in comparison to the market for their position.
We strive to offer exempt employees base cash compensation that is reasonable in comparison to the market, and that, when coupled with our generous benefits package, attracts and retains quality long-term employee-owners.
Commitment to People
Health Benefits
Chroma believes everyone should have affordable and comprehensive healthcare coverage. In that spirit, we offer a generous package that is rare in the private sector. Benefits include employer provided, no-deductible medical, dental, and vision insurance. Chroma pays the majority of the premiums and covered costs. Employees are responsible for a small portion of the premium.
In compliance with the Consolidated Appropriations Act (CAA) and the Transparency in Coverage rules (TiC), we make the following files available on a monthly basis. To access the MRF files, click here.
Wellness
Employees can contribute to flexible spending accounts and take advantage of our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), and wellness opportunities which include reimbursement of external gym memberships/fitness classes. Our Bellows Falls location offers on-site treadmills and other light gym equipment, an on-site registered nurse for biometric screenings, acute care, and mental health support, as well as massage therapy on-site weekly.
Paid Time Off
Generous paid time off includes 80 hours of vacation time, 80 hours of sick/personal time, and 10 paid holidays in an employee’s first year. In addition, parental leave, bereavement leave, and short- and long-term disability are available to qualified employees when needed. After 3 years of employment, Chroma offers the opportunity for a 6-week sabbatical leave.
Profit Sharing & Retirement
Chroma contributes to employees' retirement accounts and profit sharing plans at a level way above market. Our profit sharing takes the form of 401(k) contributions, cash profit sharing, and stock profit sharing.
Additional Benefits
Employees' personal and professional development is supported via regular access to training and conferences, as well as a formal education assistance benefit. Chroma offers flexible and condensed work schedules to accommodate work/life balance. A sense of community is fostered with regular employee social events, including on-site BBQs and off-site parties which are extended to employees’ families.
