Chroma has an almost 30-year legacy of living and breathing VBSR’s mission through its commitment to social justice, employee ownership, serving its communities, and cultivation of a people-first workplace. Paul Millman, who co-founded Chroma in 1991 and recently retired, received VBSR’s Terry Ehrich Award for Excellence in Socially Responsible Business in 2016 to honor his commitment to sustainable business practices and vision for sharing equity & profits among employees.

Governor’s Award for Wellness - Gold Level
The Vermont Governor’s Award for Excellence in Worksite Wellness was developed by the Vermont Governor’s Council on Physical Fitness and Sports more than 20 years ago and presented in partnership with the Vermont Department of Health (VDH) to employers across the state to create a standard of excellence for worksite wellness initiatives. This award represents Chroma’s commitment and engagement to health and wellness in our workplace by promoting, encouraging and supporting employee participation in a wide range of wellness initiatives and activities throughout the year.
