27 Things You Need to Know
Before Moving to Vermont

Farmers markets, award-winning breweries, covered bridges, maple syrup, and so much more . . .

It's not unusual to see a bald eagle flying over the river, or a fox outside the office window, turtle hatchlings in the parking lot or a heron in the pond.

There are six ski resorts within a one-hour drive of the office, and Vermonters get special discounts.

Right Here at Home

Bellows Falls is quiet, there is no doubt. An old industrial town that sits along the Connecticut River, Bellows Falls is surrounded by farms, orchards and rolling hills.

The heart of the town is it's main street, lined with independent longstanding businesses where the owners are at the counter, and you'll quickly become a regular. Main street has it all, from a cozy coffee shop, organic cafe, diner, upscale dining or burger and fry joint, to a find-everything-you-need hardware store, jewelry store, book store, and barber.

The movie theater is in a restored Opera House where the ticket price is $5 per person all the time and the $5 concession special gets you candy, popcorn and a drink every Friday through Tuesday.
