Over the weekend on September 27, Chroma hosted its first Source to Sea clean-up group in recent years during the annual Source to Sea Clean Up run by the Connecticut River Conservancy. This year, the group met at Herrick’s Cove and, in two hours, collected 180 pounds of trash.

“While we work and live on the Connecticut River, this isn’t just about keeping our backyard clean”, said Dale Kondracki, Marketing Generalist, “The work we do here, and the work done all over the watershed, helps keep the entire ecosystem healthy. We are happy to play any part in keeping our environment clean, and look forward to next year’s clean-up.”

The Connecticut River Conservancy is a nonprofit organization dedicated to clean water, healthy habitats, and resilient communities, utilizing science-based efforts to collaborate with the states on the watershed to ensure the environment thrives. The Source to Sea Cleanup is an annual community event following the length of the 410-mile Connecticut River watershed in NH, VT, MA, & CT. Each fall, volunteers of all ages and abilities come together to do their part and spend a few hours making the water cleaner, the riverbanks safer, and the wildlife happier.
